As we move through life, it is inevitable that mental, emotional, and spiritual needs will arise. For this reason, we want to ensure that we do our part to help you get access to the support you need.

Pastoral Care

Pastoral Care sessions at River City Church entail six, 90-minute appointments, that are free of charge. Day appointments may be necessary.

Our pastoral team is available to individuals and couples in need of support.

Your first meeting with a member of our pastoral team will be an intake to address the concerns that you are bringing in for counsel.

If your concerns cannot be fully addressed within your six sessions, our pastoral team will make a recommendation for further counseling with a professional mental health specialist.

Premarital

Whether you are engaged or seriously dating, we would love to support you in your preparations for marriage.

Premarital counseling can range from 6 to 8 sessions and will utilize curriculum from Prepare + Enrich to guide conversations around topics like finances, communication styles, sex, and family of origin.

The aim of these sessions will be to help lay a biblical foundation for building a healthy marriage in the years to come.

Grief + Loss

We know that the loss of a loved one is difficult and filled with emotion.

We will walk alongside you during this season of grief to provide pastoral care and assistance with planning a funeral or memorial service.

As noted above, sometimes care needs go beyond the scope of what our pastoral team can provide.

In these instances, our pastoral team is happy to help connect you with trusted specialists who are both clinically informed and gospel centered. You will also be encouraged to check out the Gospel Care Collective, which offers online counseling in addition to other resources and tools.
